If you want to be a truck driver, you have to go to school just like you would for any other vocational or professional career. There are plenty of truck driver training schools in the U.S, but none quite like MTC Truck Driver Training. We are the premier resource for truckers who need to get their Class A CDL, or for CDL holders who would like to improve their career with a better position with a top company. We have relationships with trucking businesses all over the U.S. We can promise you a job when you graduate because these companies come to us to recruit for all their positions. Better still, our company-sponsored program allows you to study with us for little to no money down, so what are you waiting for? Requirements at U.S Truck Driver Training Schools At most U.S truck driver training schools, such as ours, you have to meet certain requirements in order to become a professional truck driver. You must meet the minimum requirements detailed in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations guide. This means you must be 21 years old to operate a tractor trailer across state lines (18 within the state) and you must have a valid CDL issued by only one state. Physically, you must have a minimum of 20/40 vision in each eye (with or without corrective lenses) and a 70 degree field of vision in each eye. You cannot be colorblind. The U.S Department of Transportation requires that a truck driver have a complete physical examination every two years as well, and you cannot have any limb loss or physical restrictions that would prevent you from safely operating a vehicle.
